An Ode To Spring

This week has been a wonderful one, full of sunny days, bright skies, bike rides, regenerating strolls and nights out with the closest friends!

Although Autumn is by far my favourite season, I use to get tired of Winter pretty quickly (exactly just after the Christmas holidays) and now I'm looking forward to the arrival of Spring!!!

Unfortunately today the sun has given way to rain and the countryside is immersed in the fog , so I've thought it was the right  time to share these nice pictures with you to try to lift up my mood! 

I've bought this flowered dress a couple of weeks ago and, when I saw it in the shop window, I immediately realised it had to be mine!!! 

I love its roses and also the white collar and I really can't wait to put aside the lifeless colours of Winter and give way to the navy blue, the pastel colours and the lighter fabrics!

I want to leave you with this lovely quote, another ode to Spring ( after my dress, of course!), even if it's only the 22nd of February and we need to wait for one more month for its beautiful colours and the sense of rebirth that it brings!

An afternoon of shopping!!!

Yesterday I went shopping with my best friend in my favourite shop called "Lady", which sells clothes, bags, shoes and  accessories from England! For my birthday I received a gift certificate to spend there and I was so excited!!!I tried many things and, in the end, I chose this beautiful grey skirt with embroidered pockets and this scarf with colorful birds :)!

 A bought also a black cotton sweater with tiny buttons from Tezenis to match with the skirt.

While I was looking at another shop window I saw this wonderful light blue blouse and I loved it at the first sight!!!
I really like this pastel color and it seems perfect with the arrival of spring!!!

Dressing like an elf of the woods...

  

When I wear this flowered skirt with a pair of green pine tights and a woolly jumper of the same color I feel like an elf of the woods!

As a child I really believed in these creatures, and when I went in the woods with my daddy, especially in Autumn to gather chestnuts, I looked around carefully hoping to see one of them among the leaves.

 

An italian proverb says that " Who dresses in green in its beauty relies", because it is considered a color that doesn't fit everyone, however I really love it, in every of its shade!!!

My grandmother's blouse

Some months ago, when I was peeking in my grandmother's wardrobe in Florence, I found this silky pink blouse and I thought it was beautiful.

My grandma told me she had created it when she was young and that she would have been really happy to give it to me as a present.

 

On Christmas Day I received this lovely sweater and I thought it would have been perfect to wear with the blouse.

It's funny because at the moment I'm reading a book entitled "The secret lives of dresses",by Erin Mc Kean, that I found in a second hand shop, and I think it fits perfectly with the story of this outfit.

 For my makeup I used:

- eye pencil: Neve Cosmetics "Pioggia/Taupe"

- mascara: Locherber "Extreme black"

- mineral blush: Neve Cosmetics " Creamy"

- lipliner: Neve Cosmetics "Ballerina Pink"

A new Purchase!!!

Hi darlings!

I saw this padded jacket in November in a shop called " Subdued" which has always beautiful clothes and accessories.

At full price it was expensive, so I didn't buy it immediately and I hoped to find it on sale. Last Friday I went shopping with my friends and I incredibly found it half price!!!I was sooooo happy!!!!

I really like its burgundy color, the soft fur of his hood and how it fits me well!!!

I wore it yesterday when it was raining cats and dogs, the rain drops slied on its fabric and I remained dry and warm!!!

I'm so proud of my purchase!!!

Sunday's Outfit

 

Today has been a sunny and bright day and this morning I decided to wear this black dress with birds that I bought on sale two weeks ago:) When I saw it months ago It was love at the first sight, so I have been really glad to buy it half price!!!:)

To stay warm I put over the dress this wooly cardigan, which is beige like the birds, and I wore a pair of furry slippers, that are perfect on a chilly day!!!

And this is one of my favourite necklaces!I think it's perfect with this dress but I also wear it with sweaters and cardigans to beautify them!!!
